When we talk about ‘winning’ the lottery, we think about that elusive jackpot which is worth millions of pounds. Most of us secretly (and sometimes not so secretly) hope to win the lottery so that we can make our dreams come true.

Sadly, the chances of winning the National Lottery are very, very slim. But wait. There is a silver lining to that dark cloud.

With the advent of technology, there are more and more alternatives to the traditional lottery. Lottery players are increasingly switching to online lottery gaming as these websites offer more chances to win. Websites such as Lottoland many more options to win big than the National Lottery does.

So, if I were to win the lottery, whether it be online or from the National Lottery, here are the 5 places I would travel to:

The Maldives

And when I say ‘The Maldives’, I mean the Conrad Rangali Resort Island in the Maldives.

This one of the most luxurious and expensive resorts in the world.

This ultra-luxurious hotel is build underwater and has rooms that have see-through rooms that offer exquisite panoramic views of the marine life there.

Bora Bora

When I say Bora Bora, I mean the St. Regis Resort at Bora Bora. This 5 star luxury resort is a favourite with royalty, celebrities and millionaires the world over.

Each of the water-front bungalows has a see-through floor and the ultimate in comfort and luxury.

The service is best in class and you want for absolutely nothing.

The Great Pyramids – A Cruise Down the Nile

The Great Pyramids may be one of the last surviving ancient wonders of the world, and is a massive tourist destination.

However, if I won the lottery, I wouldn’t do the trite little tourist package.

I would opt for one of the ultra-luxury dahabiya chartered cruises down the Nile – in the style of the ancient Pharaohs. These river ships are very luxurious and come with their own crew whose only job is to make sure their guests’ needs are taken care of.

This cruise would also offer me by own personal Egyptologist to show me around and take us to those special spots that regular tourists aren’t allowed to go.

Masai Mara, Kenya

I have always dreamed of going on a safari. Seeing the wilds of Africa; the majestic and untamed landscape of a world so unlike my own.

While I could rough it out, I would rather spend my time there more comfortably – at the Sanctuary Olonana. One of the 50 best resorts in the world, this camp was named after a Masai warrior.

The camp has only 14 luxury tents and is completely eco-friendly. “Camp” is a bit of a misnomer, since you are actually sitting in the lap of luxury.

These are just the top 5 places on my list. However, if I did actually win the lottery, I would travel in first class luxury and visit as many places as I could and have as many experiences as possible.
