We are Alto Comedy, Birmingham’s brand-new quarterly comedy night led by women.
Our uniquely programmed events platform female talent within a mixed bill of comedians, hosting seasoned comics with some of the most exciting emerging acts. Along with some big laughs, we promise festivities well into the night with post-show sets from your favourite local female DJs.
We’re all about celebrating diversity and equality in comedy. That’s why our shows will always have a female identifying Headline Act and MC within a mixed line-up (our way of addressing gender discrepancies in traditional comedy circuits) and feature local, regional acts via our ‘Scratch Spot’ call outs.
For our very first event, we are delighted to announce Jess Fostekew as our headline act. Joining her on the bill will be Laura Davis, Daniel Muggleton and Carly Smallman as MC.
