June looks to be a fantastic month for both live music and club nights across Birmingham with 190 original music events featuring bands, musicians and DJs.
There are two ultra-cool festivals, ‘Rave Against Racism‘ and ‘Supersonic‘ which take in live music, DJs and plenty of Brum’s music venues. Supersonic is a truly alternative series of live music events featuring experimental, avant–garde performances with fascinating trippy visuals. Rave Against Racism is as you would expect, a weekend-long rave in the Custard Factory with some of the UK’s finest dance music DJs in aid of a brilliant cause.
If you fancy soaking up some rays then The Great Outdoors at the Lord Clifden is hosted by Dean ‘Sunshine’ Smith and plays host to internationally known disco and balearic DJs who you can also find at music festivals from Croatia to America. The Rainbow venues and Lab 11 also keep the warehouse vibe going with FACE and TRMNL while the Hare & Hounds offers a huge array of soul, disco, funk, house and live bands throughout the week.
Live bands are popping up everywhere this June, from Sunday live music events at both the Sun on The Hill and Sun at The Station to various acts brought to Brum by Birmingham Promoters and The Catapult Club, and for those into Reggae check out Club PST in Digbeth and Jam Jah Sound-system in Moseley.
