Cross The Track DJs at Bar Opus Saturdays

Have you heard about the new DJ event taking place each Saturday at Bar Opus near Snow Hill Station?

Cross the Track takes place at Bar Opus every Saturday – 4pm to 9pm with Damien (UK Vibe) and Roc 1 (A Few Good Men).

Both DJs have been hugely influential locally and are part of a large world-wide community of record crate diggers, always on the look out for something new or rare to play and allow others to enjoy. Roc was one of the main movers behind legendary Soul, Funk Hip Hop night ‘Substance’ at the old Medicine Bar, DJing alongside the likes of Afrika Bambaataa and De La Soul. Damian was one of the original Midlands DJs to first play house sets in London during the mid 1980s, later running the influential Same Beat Records.

Bar Opus is a beautiful spacious modern bar, serving the finest cocktails, wines and beers by the bottle, or on tap and great food! And when the sun is shining there’s an outdoor terrace opposite the longest green wall in Europe.

The name comes from a classic jazz-funk song by the same name, but it’s also a play on words as the inner city trams roll past from Wolverhampton terminating at Birmingham New Street:

Expect a great mix of New Disco, Boogie, Soul, Latin, Jazz-Funk and Electronica.

Free to enjoy, so come along!
