Digbeth club to host official Happy Mondays after party

Iconic 80s and 90s baggy Manchester band Happy Mondays are mid a comeback tour stretching across the UK, stopping at Birmingham’s The Night Owl after their O2 Institute gig for an official after party.

On Saturday, December 14th, legendary singer Rowetta and freaky dancer Bez will head straight to Digbeth’s finest soul and retro nightclub The Night Owl for All Back To Bez’s – the official Happy Mondays after party. Fans will be taken back to the hazy days of the Hacienda nightclub, as Bez hosts and Rowetta performs a live vocal PA in the intimate nightclub and live music venue. To add to the Madchester madness, Creation Records founder Alan McGee (Oasis, Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine) will be DJing 80s, 90s, Madchester and Britpop tracks all night long along with resident Night Owl DJ Mazzy Snape.

The Night Owl, based on Lower Trinity Street, Digbeth, is The Midlands only award winning soul and retro nightclub, that champions music from the 50s and 60s right through to present day. Finely selecting their artists and DJs, The Night Owl is curated by music fans and vinyl lovers, so you know every night will be all killer, no filler. The Night Owl has had a monumental year, celebrating winning ‘Best Club Night’ at the Birmingham Music Awards and ‘Brum’s Best Cocktail’ in the Independent Birmingham Awards.

2019 boasted a whole host of achievements for The Night Owl. They hosted their first festival, Owlstock, which celebrated 50 years of Woodstock with Hendrix and Doors tributes and local acts. The Night Owl also saw original Oasis member Tony McCaroll drum live for the first time in 20 years, as part of the 25th anniversary of Definitely Maybe with tribute band Oasis Maybe.

All Back to Bez’s, the official Happy Mondays After Party, takes place at 11pm on Saturday, December 14th. Tickets are on sale now and available from The Ticket Sellers.
