Digbeth Community Come Together to Raise Over £750 For Local Youth Charity St. Basils

Valentines weekend many Digbeth businesses joined forces to help raise money for local charity St Basils, with the ‘From Digbeth With Love’ campaign.

St Basils, a charity based in Digbeth which helps young people to develop their skills, increase opportunities and prevent homelessness.

‘From Digbeth With Love’, which was headed up by the Digbeth Estates team, saw local businesses come together to sell a variety of themed goodies over Valentine’s weekend, with 100% of profits being donated to support St Basils.

Sara Bremner, head of Events at Digbeth Estates said;

We are proud to announce that the generosity of our local businesses and donations from the Digbeth community have raised over £750 for such a wonderful cause.

We would once again like to thank Ghetto Golf, Digbeth Dining Club, Kanteen, The Big Birmingham Bakes, The Ruin, Stag Digbeth, Fazeley Social, The Night Owl, Digbrew, and The Custard Factory for their donations and involvement.

Sian Dhillion from St Basils said;

We are delighted and overwhelmed by the support we at St Basils receive from our local caring business community here in Digbeth. This amazing event is just one of many great examples of what the Digbeth community really represents, people and businesses who contribute to this inspiring vibrate area by sharing ideas, investing in our people and our places and making it the wonderful creative place it is to work, visit and live.

Thank you to all those involved, those who share our aim to help local young people successfully break the ‘cycle of homelessness’ so that they can go on to experience a bright, fulfilling future and never return to a state where they are at risk of homelessness again
