Digbeth Dining Club to host first street party in over 3 years

For the first time in over 3 years, one of the UK’s most popular street food destinations, Digbeth Dining Club, are bringing back their famous street closure for one weekend only.

To celebrate 7 years of Digbeth Dining Club, the street food venue will be closing down Lower Trinity Street on Friday, 16th August and Saturday, 17th August, and turning it into a festival of award-winning street food.

Founded in 2012, Digbeth Dining Club became known for their end of the month street parties, which saw thousands flock to Digbeth to enjoy some of the UK’s best in street food.

Founder and Director of Digbeth Dining Club, Jack Brabant, said:

It’s been 3 years since we did our last street closure, and since then we’ve had no end of people asking us when we’ll be bringing it back.

Whether its hosting the British Street Food Awards back in 2015, or bringing up our London counterparts, KERB up for a Birmingham vs London ‘street food battle’, we always try and offer something different for our Birthday every year.

The street closure was something we really did love doing, it developed a real following at the end of the month, attracting a few thousand every time.

rading over the weekend will see the likes of Buddha Belly, who will be bringing back their famous chicken satay burger, BEEF ON THE BLOCK, who’ll be cooking an Aubrey Allen fillet special, Urban Cheesecake, Patty Freaks, Kebab Cartel and Street Souvlaki amongst 13 more

To finish off Digbeth Dining Club’s 7th Birthday celebration, Sunday will see the doors open for the famous ‘Dog-Beth Dining Club’. A whole day dedicated to do dressing up your dogs and enjoying some good food.

Jack added:

We’re have always been dog friendly at DDC – and #DogbethDiningClub was actually a hashtag that developed from some of our regulars which we decided to turn into an event.

There’ll be dog themed markets and prizes for the best dressed dogs, but ultimately it’s somehwhere where we want everyone to bring their dogs for a good time – in a semi-chaotic envronment!

Digbeth Dining Club’s 7th Birthday street closure begins on Friday, 17th August between 4 and 11pm and on Saturday between 1 and 11pm. Dog-beth Dining Club takes place on Sunday, 18th August between 12 and 8pm. Entrance is £2 all day.
