Created by locally raised husband and wife team who wanted Birmingham to enjoy their love of family style fresh food, locally sourced produce in a relaxed, yet vibrant atmosphere.
After a few too many one night, and a belly full of pork the concept of “The Pickled Piglet” on Gas Street was born, The Pig & Tail is the second part in this food & drink love affair.
The pub consists of craft beers; uncomplicated, exciting dishes and family style served food – all which prove to be popular and fit in perfectly with the ambiance of the burgeoning Jewellery Quarter which shies away from commercial large chain style bars and restaurants.
Housed in the historic “George & Dragon” building in the Jewellery Quarter, which was for a long time a pig sty is now a thriving and modern cocktail, craft beer and grazing style bar with a great range of carefully selected wines. Birmingham really does seem to be bucking the national trend of old pubs being lost to the developers forever.
