Musical Showcase In Support Of Women’s Aid (27th September)

On Saturday the 27th September, The Fox Bar on Lower Essex Street, near Birmingham’s infamous gay quarter, will be hosting a live, acoustic musical showcase to help raise money for charity.

The event, ‘Grrrljam’, will be in support of and to raise money for Women’s Aid, the key national charity working to end domestic violence against women and children. The charity helps up to 250,000 women and children each year and also supports a network of over 3000 dedicated specialist domestic violence services across the UK.

girl jam birminghamWomen’s Aid aims to empower women who have been affected by domestic violence, support and reflect diversity and promote equality of opportunity.

Taking place from 6pm-late, ‘Grrrljam’ will see a host of local musicians from the Birmingham music circuit perform outdoor live acoustic sets in support of Women’s aid. This will include performances from Hannah Brown, Faye Bagley and The Taskers, just to name a few.

The evening will also include a BBQ and a host of other activities in order to raise money for charity, but more importantly, to have fun whilst celebrating such a fantastic cause through music, food and togetherness.

Andrew King, owner of the Fox bar, said: “We are so pleased to be able to support such a fantastic charity; and with such a great cause, should come a great party!

“We look forward to welcoming people from all over Birmingham to help raise money to end violence towards women and children, to enjoy performances by some wonderfully talented musicians and to have a good time whilst doing so. We hope to see you there.”
