Outlander are a 4-piece from Birmingham who combine elements drawn from the post-rock blueprint – laid out by Mogwai and Godspeed You! Black Emperor – with aspects of the moody indie rock championed byLow and Codeine, resulting in sparse, starkly drawn out instrumentals. The band have previously self-released two critically received EPs and now debut new material with FOMA – in the form of the 13-minute epic The Valium Machine – which introduces new aural elements and refines those already present to break new ground for the quartet.

“Epic, cinematic rock with huge soundscapes… for fans of Sigur Ros and Mogwai” Born Music
“Otherworldly and worthy of sound-tracking a blockbuster epic” Counteract
“One of the most exciting records I’ve had the pleasure of listening to” Heavy Blog Is Heavy
“A hazy mix of post-rock, drone doom and shoegaze” Arctic Drones

Having previously shared the stage with the likes of Show Me The Body, Froth, Swedish Death Candy, Yung and Space Blood, Outlander’s next live show will be:

10/2: Hare & Hounds, Birmingham (supporting The Lucid Dream) https://bit.ly/2sXl6nD
