The Mocking Bird & The Night Owl work together to bring fantastic events this winter

Long gone are the days of venues taking down each other’s posters and competing against each other. Nowadays venues such as The Night Owl and The Mockingbird are paving the way for a friendlier nightlife scene in Birmingham.

Mazzy Snape presents a collaboration of like-minded Digbeth-based venues The Mockingbird Bistro, Bar and Theatre & The Night Owl. SOUL SEASON aims to bring the best in soul-related film, music and food together for regular special events.

We kick off on Saturday 21st November with AMY (2015) Dir: Asif Kapadia. The touching story of the late Amy Winehouse.
£20 tickets include a soul food meal for two at Mockingbird and party at Northern Soul & Motown club The Night Owl.

Next up on Saturday 28th November Soul Season presents SOUL POWER in which focuses on the three-day music festival Zaire ’74 featuring some incredible performances from many 70’s soul legends. Again tickets include food, film and entry to The Night Owl after.

But the collaboration’s don’t stop there! The two Digbeth based venues are getting together for a month of Christmas Festivities!

With Christmas round the corner The Night Owl have teamed up with The Mockingbird Bistro, Bar and Theatre to offer you a one-of-a-kind Christmas experience! If you want a little soul in your party then you know where to come!

The Mockingbird is in the heart of Birmingham’s creative quarter, The Custard Factory in Digbeth. Their mouth-watering American bistro menu has been lovingly tailored to offer something extra special to the festive season.
