American Big Sandy and his ‘rockabilly’ Fly-Rite Boys are set to hit Birmingham

Big Sandy first got together with a bunch of musician friends for a garage rehearsal in Spring 1988 in Anaheim, California and the band was born.

Here we are now 14 albums later and with music pulled from rockabilly, rock ‘n roll, honky tonk, rhythm & blues, soul and doo-wop, Big Sandy and his Fly-Rite Boys are set to hit Birmingham. If you’ve not seen them before then be prepared to be knocked out with a great show. If you have seen them you know you are in for a treat. They are only doing four UK shows so don’t miss your chance to catch this great band.

Hey, but hang on, we’ve got not one but two great bands. We also have great new teenage sensation The Runaways. These guys have only done a few gigs but have gone down a storm and are set to go big places fast. They already have a Hemsby weekender booked for next year and Joe Newbon, Jake Needham and Curt Jones are sure to keep our music going to the next generation having appeal across the whole rock ‘n roll/rockabilly scene

Musical interludes provided as usual by veteran wax-spinner Hep Beat Record Show.

STOP PRESS…..STOP PRESS

Now also a guest appearance from the fantastic Jessica Roberts who recently went down so well at the Hillbilly Hoedown weekend

So we have three acts, great rockin’ DJ and 5 hours of top sounds for £15.00 on the door.
