Bourbon Heritage Month in Brum!

Celebrate American’s Independence Day by treating your tastebuds to a one way ticket to the U.S.A… Without having to flash your passport. As part of ‘Bourbon Heritage Month’, The Birmingham Whisky Club is pleased to welcome multi-award winning Wild Turkey to The Wellington this September.

On August 2, 2007, the US Senate declared September 2007 as “National Bourbon Heritage Month.” With it’s rich heritage and history, Bourbon Heritage Month was formed to encourage drinkers to raise a glass to “America’s Native Spirit” and celebrate the industries contribution to the United States. With sales of American whiskies growing here in the UK, we wanted to bring a slice of the celebration to Birmingham.

As well as getting a chance to taste through a selection of their best-selling whiskies (and bottles not avaliable to the general public), guests will enjoy a history of the spirit and a look into what gives the liquid it’s distinctly different flavour. We’re lifting the lid of the bourbon barrel for this very special first-time event. You definitely don’t need to be a whiskey expert to attend and enjoy our “Beginners Guide To Bourbon” on Friday 30th September at The Wellington!

Tickets are now avaliable (link) for this very special event, priced at £15 (not including booking fee). Discounts are avaliable for members of The Birmingham Whisky Club. Due to the nature of the event, spaces are limited and booking early is recommended.
