Tucked down a back street in deepest Digbeth, there exists a weekend meeting place for young and old, a converted factory unit, with large vats full of delicious beer which are served to thirsty punters every Friday and Saturday.. welcome to Dig Brew Co.
Dig Brew Co. is a craft brewing project based in Digbeth, Birmingham. Their taproom and kitchen are open Friday and Saturday and serve some of the finest craft ales you will find in the UK.
The brand works tirelessly to create inventive tasty beers which are exported to the Dig Brew hand pumps for weekend consumption, but also to other drinking establishments, along with canned versions and an opportunity to display some cool artwork.
Upon entry you will be greeted with large metal vats which are the beating heart of this craft ale factory. Beyond this the unit opens out into an almost church-like space, with benches and tables, a long bar, pizza oven at the far end and skylights which bath the whole space in natural light.
Music policy is funky and soulful with occasional DJs and bands. Dig Brew Co. is somewhere unique and special for the city and region, and you can tell this by the diversity of people who visit each weekend to drink, eat and socialise – you can always book a guided tour too!
The pizzas are freshly baked using the best ingredients, where science meets organic. You will see a busy production line of meaty tomato base wonders and vegetarian options being delivered to the tables, consumed along with swigs of the latest Dig Brew Co. tipple, from fresh light lagers to strong chocolatey stouts.
Look out for special events such as the Beer Operas which even tour out of Birmingham. A place brimming with passion and ingenuity, but also with a well thought out concept, delivered by a dedicated professional team.
