Extrawurst is the leading authentic German bratwurst brand founded in 1981 by Lothar Hagebaum and now run by his son, Kim Hagebaum.
The family business is a German success story, renowned for providing authentic, delicious German fast-food with craftsmanship and quality at its heart. The business sells more than 2.5m sausages a year and has expanded its FTG concept to a global audience with sites in Asia, South America and Europe.
Extrawurst Birmingham is only the second Extrawurst to open in the UK after Merry Hill.
The sausages are made to a secret recipe, with the pork sourced from German farms, and steam cooked in Germany. The sausages are then exported to the UK, and grilled again for the final touch.
In addition to the family run pork products, Extrawurst Birmingham also sell Rounton Coffee – a small coffee roaster team based in Yorkshire.
The menu mains include tasty take-aways such as: Bratwurst, Bratwurst XXL, Vegan Bratwurst, Shnitzel and Frikadelle.
Diners can also choose from the various Combo meals such as Currywurst (standard pork bratwurst, signature curry sauce, fries, mayo, ketchup, or mustard + a hot or cold drink), Foodiewurst, Jaggerwurst, Pepperdelle, Jagerdelle & Jagerschnitz with variations on sauces and mains. There’s a great selection of sides too, from Rosemary Potatoes to Grilled Mushrooms, not to mention superb sauces (curry, mushroom, sweet pepper). Combos start from £5.99.
The New Street take-away is open for breakfast from 7:30 with a breakfast offer price from £3.25.
