The Lord Clifden

Situated in Hockley, near the Jewellery Quarter, The Lord Clifden has been sympathetically restored to reflect the original Victorian decor. However, there is an unusual urban art twist which needs investigating to fully understand what makes The Lord Clifden so popular.

There is a large exposed brick and wood panelled lounge and side bar for customers to relax or party in. On the walls, a collection of Urban Street Art from the likes of Banksy, D*Face, Nick Walker, Blek, Obey, Faile and Army Lion provide an apt backdrop to the weekly DJ events, quizes, sports coverage and general chilled atmosphere.

As part of the Urban Art Bar brand (check out their other boozer The Red Lion) this street art approach to design provides a stylish urban fabric which is accompanied by quality produce, imported premium lagers, real ales and excellent service.

If you’re looking for a beer garden, then really this has to be one of the best for miles around. A large space with the usual picnic benches, but it is also a museum of vintage signs and lighting which adorn the high brick walls, sheltered garden area, DJ booth and bars. All the best live sporting events are shown on 6 large screens in HD and 3D, with a seasonal outdoor BBQ, table football and Ping Pong.
