Yorks started out as a Bakery Cafe situated on Newhall Street. It opened to great acclaim and has developed a loyal trendy following of home-made style baking. Yorks then decided to open a second smaller cafe on Colmore Row at the entrance to the Great Western Arcade (directly opposite Snowhill Station).
Apart from the fantastic quality of coffee on offer, customers can also choose from a range of loose leaf teas.
There is a great choice of baked snacks, cakes and a light bites menu from salads to fresh pastries, all with a tasty unique twist, from focaccia sandwiches with Ham and Swiss cheese, and Halloumi and Tomato Chutney Focaccia with Walnuts and Spinach to baked Apple Cake dripping in caramel, the attention to detail should not be underestimated in this small coffee bar in the heart of the business district.
This venue has been covered on the Dine Birmingham food and drink guide.
“Founded by Simon Ford in 2012, the award-winning Yorks Bakery Café barista team has created a coffee house brand where the provenance and quality of coffee, tea and food takes centre stage. The Great Western Arcade venture will offer workers and shoppers an express drinks bar and its signature sandwiches and cakes. As part of the refurbishment of unit 16, Yorks will introduce window seating and a mezzanine floor.”
