The Funk Soul Collective were initially created as the house band for Funk Nation, a series of Funk and Soul nights across the UK. Made up of some of the best session players in the UK, they are on a mission to bring back Funk played in the right way, by the likes of Mr. James Brown, the Godfather of Soul and the JB’s brass stars Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley and Pee Wee Ellis, Parliament Funkadelic, and many more as their inspiration. The band also play all the best rare groove and jazz funk, including hits from the likes of Roy Ayers, the Brand New Heavies and Jamiroquai.
