Misfits Music Institute proudly presents ‘Music of Journeys’ a one-off summer concert taking audiences on a musical tour across the United Kingdom. Taking place on Sunday 13 July at Birmingham Conservatoire, the ‘Music of Journeys’ can be enjoyed in-person or via a live-stream to ensure no one misses out.

The summer concert brings together all of Misfits Music Institute’s groups including Moseley Misfits, Bearwood Rock Collective, the B30 Ensemble, the Northfield Rock Collective and Tipton Rock Collective. The groups will perform collectively as one huge group and also each individual group will get its moment to shine.

The concert will highlight music from across England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, audiences can expect the themes from How to Train Your Dragon and Pirates of the Caribbean as well as Teenage Kicks by The Undertones, Your Love Alone is Not Enough by Manic Street Preachers and Black Horse and the Cherry Tree by KT Tunstall.

‘Music of Journeys’ will also feature special guest spoken word artist Jasmine Gardosi who will perform her anthem ‘Brummie Steel’ written especially for Misfits Music Institute and the Brum Rocks project of 2024. The anthem is so good, and so brilliantly Birmingham, it deserves another outing.

Rob Jones, Artistic Director at Misfits Music Institute said: “Our annual summer concert celebrates the commitment, enthusiasm and talents of all our members and staff, it’s been wonderful putting together songs around the theme of journeys focusing on music from across the UK that inspires them. It’s a moment for us all to come together and celebrate the journey we’ve taken over the last twelve months as well as for us to look ahead to the next year. We are also delighted to welcome the familiar talents of Jasmine, plus for the first time you can join us either in real life or virtually!”

Jasmine Gardosi, Spoken Word Artist said: “I’m delighted that I get to perform Brummie Steel again with Misfits Music, it’s my ode to Birmingham and the city’s musical heritage so perfect for a summer celebration which brings musicians from across the city together for a one-off concert.”

In-Person and Live-Stream tickets for ‘Music of Journeys’ are currently available. Standard tickets are £15 and standard live stream tickets are £10. Please note free and reduced price tickets are also available. https://misfitsmusic.org.uk/summer25concert
