London-based outfit Legss bring their uncompromising art-rock to The Victoria on Thursday, 16th October, promising a night of jagged guitars, off-kilter rhythms and darkly satirical spoken-word. Known for their genre-blurring sound and theatrical intensity, Legss have built a cult following through a string of acclaimed EPs and a debut album that refuses to play by the rules.
Their latest release, Unreal, continues the band’s exploration of modern disillusionment, pairing technical chaos with poetic grit. With praise from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, The Quietus and The Sunday Times, Legss are fast becoming one of the UK’s most intriguing underground acts.
Joining them are Birmingham’s Pay The Stranger, a four-piece blending the heavy fuzz of 90s alt-rock with the dreamy textures of shoegaze. Fronted by DIY veteran Tony Bontana, their debut album Home for the Weekend has already earned support slots with Keg and They Are Gutting A Body of Water, and their live show promises emotional weight and sonic depth.
Opening the night are Mt Yonder, a project formed by members of Blakfish, The Broken Oak Duet, &U&I, Shapes and The Cape of Good Hope. Their sound is urgent, angular and melodic, born from overlapping scenes and a shared need to create something raw and immediate.
Expect a night of noise, nuance and bold new voices. Tickets are available now.
