This Christmas, Birmingham’s much-loved Italian restaurant, Del Villaggio, is turning up the festive heat with a buonissimo Christmas menu guaranteed to make your celebrations sparkle. Those searching for seasonal dining inspiration ‘knead’ look no further!
Nestled on Broad Street since its move from the Bullring in 2014, Del Villaggio has become the city’s go-to destination for authentic Italian cuisine and has reached the coveted top spot as Birmingham’s top rated Italian restaurant on Trip Advisor. From 6th November to 24th December, diners can indulge in a specially crafted festive feast: two courses for £35.95 or three courses for £39.95.
The team at Del Villaggio is excited to showcase their favourite dishes. Starters set the tone with mouth-watering options such as Arancini Porcini – Saffron-infused arborio croquettes delicately filled with a silken wild mushroom purée – and Salsicce al Forno, hearty oven-baked Italian sausages served in a rich Marzano tomato sauce.
Diners will have a tough time choosing from the mains which feature the flavour-packed Pollo Grigliato, a marinated chicken breast served with rosemary roasted potatoes and the delicate Pan-Fried Seabream, crowned with prawns and finished with a zesty lemon sauce.
Those looking for traditional Christmas fayre will love the Tacchino Rullato – a festive turkey roulade with ham, mozzarella, spinach, and mushrooms – while vegetarians can tuck into the comforting Pasta al Forno, baked with courgettes, mixed peppers, and onions in a sumptuous tomato and cream sauce.
A tempting dessert selection brings Italian Christmas magic to the table with a line-up that’s impossible to resist: Panettone studded with candied fruits and raisins, the indulgent Rollato chocolate Swiss roll filled with silky cream, and the classic Affogato – a heavenly mix of Amaretto Disaronno, espresso, vanilla ice cream, and cinnamon.
