A tender, harmony rich evening awaits at Centrala as Sunflower Thieves headline on Thursday, 30th April, joined by special guest Edie Bens.

Formed from a lifelong friendship, Leeds raised duo Amy Illingworth and Lily Sturt Bolshaw have built Sunflower Thieves into one of the UK’s most quietly powerful emerging acts. Their music is warm, dreamy and emotionally open, earning praise from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, Radio X, CLASH, The Line of Best Fit, Atwood Magazine and more.

Self produced and deeply personal, their sound blends lush, atmospheric arrangements with lyrics that explore friendship, connection, mental health and the small, intimate moments that shape us. Their debut EP ‘Someone To Be There For (2022)’ and its 2024 follow up ‘Same Blood’ showcase a duo unafraid to be vulnerable, reflective and beautifully honest.

On stage, Sunflower Thieves create a world that is soft edged, immersive and full of human warmth. Their headline shows across London, Leeds and Nottingham have sold out, and they’ve toured with artists including Tors, Lexie Carroll, Samantha Crain, Dan Croll, Lewis Watson, Flyte, Say She She and Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.

Opening the night is Edie Bens, a Welsh born, London based songwriter crafting tender, melodic “sad bops” with a modern indie folk sensibility. At just 23, she’s already turning heads with her heartfelt writing, soft glow vocals and songs that sit somewhere between confession, comfort and quiet catharsis.

A beautifully curated evening of harmony driven alt folk, emotional storytelling and rising talent, perfect for listeners who love music that feels intimate, honest and deeply human.
