A thunderous night of dark alt rock, melodic heaviness and rising Midlands metal hits The Victoria on Thursday, 7th May, as PREYRS headline, joined by Simulation Theory and Luceith.
Formed by Belfast powerhouse Amy Montgomery and drummer/producer Michael Mormecha, PREYRS are fast becoming one of the most exciting new names in alternative heavy music. Their sound fuses raw rock energy with the weight and drama of modern metal, creating something both ferocious and emotionally charged, a place where catharsis, rage and gothic atmosphere collide.
Freshly signed to Berlin’s Pelagic Records, the duo are preparing to release their debut album, a record built on themes of pain, transformation and survival. Their debut single ‘Wave of Wisdom’ offers a glimpse into their world: soaring vocals, crushing riffs and a sense of release forged through intensity.
Montgomery’s reputation as a live performer is already formidable. Nominated for Best Live Act and Best Artist at the Northern Ireland Music Prize, she’s often described as “a force of nature,” bringing an otherworldly presence to every stage.
Birmingham’s Simulation Theory deliver melodic hard rock with big hooks and a modern edge. Since forming in 2019, they’ve built momentum through local shows and the release of their debut singles ‘No Good Girls’ (2024) and ‘On The Run’ (2025). Expect tight musicianship, driving riffs and a polished, high energy set.
Opening the night are West Midlands alt metal trio Luceith, one of the region’s most feral and emotionally charged rising acts. Their melodic meets heavy sound explores trauma, healing and catharsis, offering a powerful and atmospheric start to the evening.
A stacked bill of dark alt rock, melodic hard rock and feral Midlands metal that is perfect for fans of heavy music that’s intense, emotional and unafraid to dig deep.
