Courteeners have released a brand new single Plus One Forever today (listen here). The new track is taken from their forthcoming Best Of compilation – God Bless The Band – released on Ignition Music on 28th August 2026.
Echoing all the lyrical melancholia and glorious elegiac melodies of Manchester’s great rock’n’roll records, Plus One Forever is an intimate, uncertain love song that seems destined to be sung back to the band by tens of thousands of fans this summer and beyond. Plus One Forever is the second new track from God Bless The Band, and was produced by Courteeners’ Liam Fray and James Skelly (The Coral) following the recent release of The Luckiest Man Alive (listen here)
God Bless The Band celebrates an incredible two-decades of Courteeners, featuring tracks from their seven studio albums – St. Jude (2008), Falcon (2010), Anna (2013), Concrete Love (2014), Mapping the Rendezvous (2016), More. Again. Forever. (2020) and Pink Cactus Café (2024). The compilation includes fan anthems across the band’s career such as Not Nineteen Forever, Are You In Love With A Notion?, Modern Love, The 17th and Hanging Off Your Cloud.
Since releasing St. Jude in 2008, Courteeners have quietly and confidently become one of the biggest bands in Britain. Their gigs are massive celebrations where songs become a communal experience between band and fans with each chorus unifying tens of thousands of people. The band have achieved consistent commercial success with over 1 million UK album sales, the last four albums charting Top 5 and debut St. Jude reaching No.1 fifteen years post its initial release. The band celebrate the album release with a massive sold-out homecoming show at Wythenshawe Park, Manchester followed by a highly anticipated nationwide arena tour in November.
God Bless The Band will be available on heavyweight black 2LP, retail-exclusive clear 2LP and CD. Deluxe formats, with an additional 11 tracks will be available exclusively on Courteeners’ official store including limited-edition super deluxe box set, 3LP vinyl and 2CD. All orders from the official store include a print of the album artwork, signed by the band.
