Chakana holds a special place in the story of Chef Leonardo Diogo and Chef Jordan Scott. It was here in Birmingham that the two chefs first met, worked side by side and developed the friendship that would eventually lead to this collaboration.
During their time at Chakana, Leonardo, originally from Brazil, and Jordan, from Birmingham, worked closely together while developing their skills and knowledge alongside Michelin-starred Chef Robert Ortiz. Working in the same kitchen for an extended period allowed them to learn from one another, share techniques and develop a strong professional and personal connection.
Years later, the two chefs are returning to Chakana — the place where their friendship began — to bring their individual experiences and culinary backgrounds together for one very special evening.
The collaboration will feature a unique tasting menu that reflects both chefs’ journeys, combining Brazilian, Peruvian and English influences with modern techniques and a strong focus on flavour, produce and presentation.
Guests can expect an evening of explorative food, cocktails and wine, with the chefs showcasing the techniques and ideas they have developed throughout their careers.
