Free showcase on Saturday 10 September 2022, 2-4pm at The Old Print Works, B12 9AH Exhibition, pop-up portrait studio, tile making and screen printing tasters, soft refreshments.
Over the summer, The Mosaic Road has been running photo shoots and artistic sessions, working with Balsall Heathens to pay homage to our unique neighbourhood at this time in history. Five images we’ve made will be transformed into beautiful tiled mosaics, co-created by the community to go on permanent display at sites on and around Moseley Road.
Now, we are excited to present the project to the public. This event is an opportunity to view the portraits made so far, experience our creative process with hands-on tasters in decorative tile making and screen printing, plus a chance to take home a professional photo portrait.
Jeremy, Mosaic Road participant, said: “I moved to Balsall Heath three years ago when I was teaching art at Coventry. I like the friendliness, the diversity and the energy. It’s a place that’s moving, always changing, where people smile at you on the streets – a community.”
