London Irish contemporary folk artist and singer-songwriter Lewis Barfoot takes to the road this spring for an eight-date solo UK tour supported by Culture Ireland, following her successful solo tour in November 2024.Featuring return performances at The Prince Albert, Stroud, The Kitchen Garden in Birmingham, CWRW in Carmarthen and Cwtch Coffee in Pembroke Dock alongside debut appearances including Nottingham, Lancaster and Hay-On Wye and Holyhead.
The tour coincides with the release of two new improvised singles — Falling (due 20 March), a lyrical instrumental, and To My Father (due 3 April), a spoken-word piece. Both are part of her newImperfections series that capture spontaneous creative moments recorded in real time.
Deeply influenced by folk traditions yet guided by a distinctly personal voice, Lewis’s music is shaped by delicate fingerpicked guitar, “vocals that melt the hearts of angels” (KLOF), and lyricism that is both beautifully profound and playfully disarming. Her live performances are known for their warmth and intimacy, drawing audiences into stories that feel both ancient and immediate. She will share songs from her two studio albums, Glenaphuca (2021) and HOME (2023), her forthcoming album of folk songs The Old Bog Road and unreleased new material.
