Tat Vision’s debut exhibition, Glued to the Box, crams pop culture icons from the telly into boxes—both a playful nod to childhood TV obsession and the hands-on process of papier-mâché (because, well, Tat glues literally in place).
Play, nostalgia, television’s influence, and the physicality of the past shape these new pieces, capturing the smells, textures, and objects that made childhood magical—hanging around the house, glued to the box.

Birmingham-based artist Tat Vision, also known as Well Douglas, first started off working with bric-a-brac, charity shop bits and bobs, basically – tat! He then found fame a few years ago when his iconic ‘Four Lads in Jeans’ ‘bronze’ statue outside All Bar One New Street Station went viral. Since then Tat has become well-known for crafting familiar heads from papier-mâché and holding workshops to teach others how to make their own heads.

Tat Vision’s debut exhibition launches at Centrala on Friday the 4th of April, at 6 pm, with a live performance at 7 pm.

Centrala Space is a multi purpose Gallery and venue based in Digbeth . Orginally initiated to support Eastern European Migrants and showcase Eastern European Art .
