Birmingham Artisan Markets returns this winter with one of the city’s most magical festive shopping events: the Christmas Artisan Market at the iconic Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Taking place on 6th and 7th December, the market will showcase a vibrant celebration of independent creativity, local talent, festive food, and family-friendly fun — all set within the stunning grounds of one of Birmingham’s most beloved heritage spaces.
Across two days, visitors can explore two huge halls filled with independent makers, artists and designers from Birmingham and beyond. Expect beautifully crafted gifts, homewares, prints, jewellery, clothing, speciality foods, festive decorations, and unique finds you won’t discover in the high street crowds. The likes of Brum legends Punks & Chancers, Pip’s Hot Sauce and Spirit of Birmingham will be amongst the amazing finds!
Live Music: Birmingham Brass Band & More
Seasonal sounds will fill the halls with performances from the Birmingham Brass Band, and The Birmingham University Brass Band along with additional live music throughout the event. The perfect soundtrack for browsing, sipping, and soaking in the festive atmosphere.
Street Food: What The Cluck & Smoke + Ash & Medicine Bar & Cafe
Outdoor food stalls will bring bold, winter-warming flavours, with hot street food from What The Cluck and wood-fired favourites from Smoke + Ash. The ideal way to refuel between stalls or enjoy a festive feast in the gardens. But indoors you can refule and stay warm with Medicine
Kids Activities with Tat Vision
Birmingham’s cult creative wizard Tat Vision will host hands-on children’s craft activities, offering little ones the chance to make, play, and join in the festive fun.
A Celebration of Local & Independent Talent
With makers representing both Brum’s thriving creative community and a curated selection from across the UK, this event is set to be one of the city’s must-visit festive markets — supporting independents while offering visitors a relaxed, inspiring alternative to traditional Christmas shopping.
