Birmingham Repertory Theatre announces a range of Summer Drama Activities for young people

This July and August Birmingham Rep is offering a range of drama activities for anyone aged 3 – 25.

Led by The Rep’s Creative Learning team, young people will work together to make a Play in a Week; explore storytelling using puppets, music and their own imaginations; and the ever-popular Spy School gives young people the chance to become secret agents for a week. There is also a weeklong intensive acting course for 16 – 25 year olds, with workshops led by professional theatre-makers.

Rachel Sharpe, Birmingham Rep Creative Learning Director, said:

“Our summer programme has something for everyone, whether you’re discovering theatre for the first time or taking the next step towards a career in the arts. From imaginative adventures and creative storytelling to intensive acting workshops with industry professionals, every activity is designed to be fun, build confidence and inspire creativity. As a professional producing theatre, we’re proud to give young people the chance to create, learn and perform in a real working theatre, developing skills, making new friends and opening the door to future opportunities in the arts.”
