Broadcast Journalist Marverine Cole receives Inspire Awards Outstanding Contribution to Media & Entertainment.
Good Morning Britain’s broadcaster and Journalist, Marverine Cole – TVMarv has won Inspire Awards Outstanding Contribution to Media & Entertainment award, her second recognition of her work in the space of a month!
Marverine has been a journalist and broadcaster for 22 years, and after recently being named Female Brummie of the year at the 10th Birmingham Awards it is clear what an impact and inspiration her work has on society. Her work spans from her time as a journalist on Sky and GMB, radio documentary and podcast producer and as a host.
Marverine said “I am truly honoured to receive the Inspire Award for Outstanding Contribution to Media & Entertainment award. After being in the business for a long time, I am delighted to see my dedication and passion being seen by audiences in the past, present and hopefully future!”
Not only does she inspire through the screen, but she also uses her experiences to help support new talent as a career and wellbeing coach and was the former Director of Journalism at Birmingham City University.
The inspiration for Marverine to get her career kick-started in journalism was legendary broadcaster Moira Stuart CBE, the original female newsreader with a Caribbean heritage to feature on British television. Moira also received an Inspire Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony at The Vox
