An evening of modern alternative music, emotional catharsis and creative boundary pushing arrives at The Victoria on Wednesday 21st October as Darius Zaltash headlines, joined by special guests Laoku and Naomi Dawes.

Fresh from being named BBC Introducing Sound of the Weekend in early 2025, British Iranian artist Darius Zaltash continues his rapid rise with a headline show celebrating the next chapter of his evolving “Delirious” era. Combining the emotional intensity of modern rock with the pulse and energy of electronic music, Darius has developed a sound that feels equally at home on a dancefloor as it does in an alternative rock venue.

His music thrives on contrast. Huge, cinematic soundscapes collide with deeply personal songwriting, creating songs that feel raw, vulnerable and anthemic all at once. Whether delivering soaring hooks or moments of intimate reflection, Darius brings an honesty to his work that has helped establish him as one of the most exciting emerging artists on the UK alternative scene.

Joining him is Midlands singer songwriter Laoku, whose music exists within a rich fictional universe of lush landscapes, strange creatures and relatable characters. Through atmospheric alt rock, introspective lyricism and distinctive hand drawn artwork, Laoku explores themes of identity, emotion and self discovery. Their performances invite audiences into a world that feels both deeply personal and wonderfully imaginative.

Completing the bill is Birmingham artist Naomi Dawes, whose distinctive fusion of avant garde hip hop, experimental production and commanding vocals has made her one of the city’s most compelling underground talents. As a fully independent artist who writes, records and produces her own material, Naomi brings a powerful creative vision to every performance, delivering sets that are captivating, unpredictable and impossible to ignore.

A Wednesday night packed with cinematic rock, alternative experimentation and fearless self expression. For fans of artists who blur genres while wearing their hearts firmly on their sleeves, this promises to be a standout show at The Victoria.
