Prepare for a night of sonic surrealism as Erotic Secrets of Pompeii headline The Sunflower Lounge with their warped, theatrical brand of apocalyptic lounge music.
Known for their twisted fusion of angular art rock and post-punk provocation, the band conjure a world of grotesque imagery and vivid symbolism, drawing inspiration from the likes of Lynch, Cronenberg, Dali and Jodorowsky.
Their 2022 debut EP, Trash Jugular, set the tone for a string of festival appearances and a UK tour, while their upcoming debut album, Mondo Maleficum (due January 2026), promises to push their sound even further into the strange and sublime.
Main support comes from Kontours, a Birmingham-based rock outfit bringing raw, riff-driven energy to the night. Opening the bill is Ben Brown, the newest signing to Xtra Mile Recordings. With a back catalogue that includes cult favourites Dingus Khan and SuperGlu, Brown’s solo material is packed with wit, warmth and raucous charm, earning praise from BBC tastemakers and a growing fanbase.
