A mid week blast of noise, distortion and unfiltered energy hits The Victoria on Wednesday, 8th April, as Femur headline, joined by Muthers and Kontours for a night of psych-tinged grunge chaos.

Sheffield’s Femur bring their trademark collision of garage punk and psych, a sound that’s feral, addictive and utterly commanding in a live room. Their shows are known for their intensity, ripping through venues and festivals with a visceral force that feels both unhinged and razor tight.

Main support comes from Muthers, a four piece from Erdington who fuse the groove heavy spirit of the 60s and 70s with a fresh, modern bite. Originally a power trio inspired by the golden age of rock, the addition of guitarist Lewis Green expanded their sound into something richer and more expansive. Expect warm tones, tight rhythms and a set that nods to the past while charging forward.

Opening the night are Coventry’s Kontours, a three piece dealing in grunge leaning post punk with raw edges and brooding atmosphere. Their gritty, driving sound is the perfect spark to kick off an evening of noise soaked alternative music.

A stacked lineup of garage punk, psych rock and post punk grit that’s unmissable for anyone who thrives on distortion, sweat and the thrill of a live room pushed to its limits.
