Fine dining meets street food at The Old Crown

Artisan Street Kitchen has paired up with Birmingham’s oldest and award winning pub, The Old Crown, to bring you five of the Midland’s best Michelin star chefs for a brand new weekly street food click and collect service.

Each Saturday from 27th February onwards, during the hours of 5-9PM, one of five guest chefs will be putting their take on street food dishes in a mobile airstream kitchen at The Old Crown. Chefs and dates include: Gareth Ward of Ynyshir (27th Feb), Aktar Islam of Opheem (6th March), Tom Shepherd of Sauce Supper Club (13th March), Paul Foster of Salt (20th March) and Glynn Purnell of Purnells(27th March).

Due to lockdown restrictions diners have not been able to enjoy fine dining in their favourite Michelin star restaurant and this is the first time the cities Michelin star chefs have all come together to prepare a bespoke ‘street-food’ menu. Artisan Street Kitchen is a luxury food truck from the team behind restaurants 8 and Craft, two recent revolutionary dining experiences launched in the city. Artisan was born out of lockdown, it’s Andrews street food take on classic French dishes. Artisan hosts regular events in Barnt Green, Tanworth in Arden and The Jewellery Quarter.
