A cornerstone of British indie returns to the Midlands as Andy Bennett headlines The Victoria on Friday 24th July, bringing with him decades of songwriting, touring and evolution across some of the UK’s most beloved bands.

Andy’s story begins with Sargent, the project that first put him on the map with early favourites like ‘The Place I’m In’ and ‘Takin Me High’. The band’s shift into The Elements brought wider attention and a Top 10 hit, but the real turning point came when Ocean Colour Scene invited him on tour, a collaboration that would define the next era of his career.

After leaving The Elements, Andy became a full member of Ocean Colour Scene, contributing to eight studio albums and performing to audiences around the world. His voice, musicianship and unmistakable melodic instinct helped cement him as a familiar figure within the British indie landscape, both on stage and in the studio.

Now performing under his own name, Andy Bennett steps into the spotlight with a live show that spans every chapter of his journey. Fans can expect Ocean Colour Scene classics, standout moments from The Elements and Sargent, and brand new material that hints at where his sound is heading next. It’s a rare chance to see a seasoned performer up close in one of Birmingham’s most intimate rooms.

Support comes from Mark & Beanie of Skewwhiff, performing stripped back versions of songs from the band’s two studio albums, ‘Nice Little Upper’ and ‘Cancelled Rearranged’, alongside new acoustic material. Their set highlights the emotional core and storytelling at the heart of their songwriting, creating a warm, close knit atmosphere to open the night.

A show built on nostalgia, craft and the unmistakable warmth of classic British indie rock. Tickets are on sale now.
