London’s Thriving Jugad Indian Streetfood Expands to Birmingham with New Dark Kitchen Location

Jugad Indian Streetfood, a culinary sensation known for its authentic flavours and innovative dishes, is excited to announce its expansion to Birmingham with a new dark kitchen location. This move marks a significant milestone for the popular London-based restaurant as it ventures into new territories to delight food enthusiasts beyond the capital.

Jugad, who have 7 sites across London, including a flag ship “Grab and Go” site on Liverpool St, will start serving their menu, which includes dishes such as Chicken Chettinad and Veggie Manchurian, from a “Griller Kitchen” location just outside the city centre, from Wednesday 20th March.

To make sure the taste of India is to Brummie’s palates, they have appointed a Birmingham chef to oversee the kitchen operations with Gok Humagai, formerly of the Zindiya, leading the team. The kitchen will be open 6 days a week and will bring a number of jobs along with it. Customers will be able to order through Deliveroo and JustEAT from today.

With a commitment to bringing the essence of Indian street food culture to diverse communities, Jugad Indian Streetfood has captured the hearts and taste buds of Londoners with its tantalizing array of dishes crafted from traditional recipes and bold flavors. Now, Birmingham residents can experience the same culinary magic as Jugad Indian Streetfood sets its sights on captivating a new audience in the vibrant city.

The decision to establish a dark kitchen in Birmingham, which serves both Birmingham and the Black Country, reflects Jugad Indian Streetfood’s strategic approach to expanding its presence while actively seeking a permanent site in the city. This setup will allow the restaurant to swiftly begin serving its delectable creations to eager customers while exploring opportunities for a more permanent location.

“We are thrilled to bring the flavors of Jugad Indian Streetfood to the city of Birmingham,” said Marco Scolaro, Operations Chief of Jugad Indian Streetfood. “Our move to a dark kitchen represents the first step in our journey to establish a permanent presence in Birmingham and the surrounding areas, and we are excited to introduce our unique culinary offerings to the local community.”

“Birmingham and the Black Country loves Indian food and we are confident that we can bring something a little different to the market, firstly via home delivery and then by finding our own home, as soon as we find the best place for us! Our plan is to become part of the region’s food scene so it might be one site, maybe 2, we are confident that the city will take to us and our food and ethos”.

Despite the temporary nature of the dark kitchen, Jugad Indian Streetfood remains committed to delivering the same high-quality dining experience that has made it a staple establishment in London. From traditional street food classics to modern interpretations of Indian cuisine, customers can expect a mouthwatering adventure with every bite.

As Jugad Indian Streetfood embarks on this exciting new chapter, the restaurant group invites Birmingham and the wider region’s residents to embark on a culinary journey like no other. Stay tuned for updates on the future plans for a permanent site in the city.
