Ministry of Sound Classical comes to Lichfield

It has just been announced that the electrifying Ministry of Sound 31-piece classical orchestra event will be coming to Lichfield this August Bank Holiday.

This is no mere DJ set! Ministry of Sound have joined forces with some of the most talented players in classical music to create a Ministry of Sound take on what an orchestral performance can be. The very best of dance music history will be brought to life in a breath-taking 31-piece orchestral performance of iconic dance classics.

Get set to relive some of the most incredible dance music of all time against the beautiful backdrop of Beacon Park underneath the festival big top and enjoy classics such as Hey Boy Hey Girl (The Chemical Brothers), Insomnia (Faithless) and Right Here Right Now (Fatboy Slim).

The event on Friday 25th August features globally-renowned DJ Judge Jules, alongside Crooked House Events resident DJs The Usual Suspect and Andy James (Crooked House In The Park) and Chris Walton (Crooked House In The Park and Miss Moneypenny’s).

For almost three decades Judge Jules has led the way in the world of dance music. Since kicking off his career behind the decks in 1987, Judge Jules has ticked every box, as a DJ, producer, promoter, A&R, radio presenter and taste-maker.

A pioneer of the club scene, Judge Jules is widely recognised for influencing an entire generation with residencies on both Kiss FM and BBC Radio One through which he launched many popular trance and contemporary dance acts.  He has a legendary presence and reputation in Ibiza and has released over 200 tracks, including 15 UK top 40 national charts hits including The Launch, which became an instant classic when it was released in 1999.

Adam Turbill from Crooked House says, -“Since the inception of Crooked House and hosting large-scale events in the post-Covid era, it’s always been our mission to push the boundaries with what can be achieved here in our hometown of Lichfield. To be welcoming such an iconic brand as Ministry Of Sound speaks a thousand words. We cannot wait to deliver a breath-taking event on August 25th.”

That’s not all. Hot off the press it’s just been announced that Janice Robinson from Livin’ Joy has been added to the line-up as Guest Vocalist. Her vocals to ‘Dreamer’ is still as iconic as it ever was – a genuine masterpiece in dance music history.

Adam continues, “Get ready to be treated to an unforgettable musical journey that combines the timeless beauty of classical music with the cutting-edge sounds of modern electronic dance music.”
