Much loved festival and club event Hott Date returns after 2 year break

Hott Date finally returns! This time at the melting pot that is Dead Wax, with a massive lineup of DJs and 12 live acts… Otherwise known as The Dirty Dozen! Join them for 12 hours of musical fun across three rooms between 3pm and 3am on Saturday 25th September.

Hott Date consists of some of the best of Birmingham’s local artists including recently announced headliner garage punkers Table Scraps, the electronic hybrid trio Lycio and local folk legends High Horses as well as DJs of all backgrounds such as Bryony Williams of DIY music collective Grrrl Groan and part-time magician, part-time maverick Ed Quigley. Hott Date offers a variety of music styles so there’s something for everyone, from post-punk to indie pop to psy-fi Americana.

Originally launched around 15 years ago at The Rainbow Pub in Digbeth, Hott Date became known as the best party around, with great people, atmosphere, music and a hell of a lot of silliness. After killer parties held at The Rainbow Pub, Garden, Beach and Warehouse, The Flapper, The Hare & Hounds and more, Hott Date went into hibernation for a few years then Hott Date returned in full glory in 2018 with events at Mama Roux’s, The Night Owl and Hare & Hounds until Covid-19 impacted live events. ‘The Dirty Dozen’ marks the latest endeavour of Hott Date since the return of live music earlier this year and is looking to go off with a bang in celebration of this.

Early bird tickets for Hott Date are almost all gone, so get them while they’re cheap!
