Music, comedy, theatre and more at The Core!

The Studio at The Core, Solihull plays host to some exciting shows and performances over the coming weeks.

The ever-popular Henry’s Blueshouse nights are back, kicking off with some red-hot rock and blues from Rich Dickinson’s Driving Force on Friday 12 April. Henry’s Blueshouse then returns with The Honeyboy Hickling Band on Friday 14 June, with audiences treated to music from Blues Harp maestro Simon ‘Honeyboy’ Hickling and his band.

Masters of improvisational comedy Box Of Frogs will be leaping into action on Friday 26 April and again on Friday 7 June. Enjoy an evening with Birmingham’s premier comedy improv group and spend the night laughing your socks off!

Then, on Saturday 4 May, the one-and-only Miss Teena Bizkit hosts the fabulous Teena’s Spring Tease! A full-on variety selection box of a show, with a TV & Movies quiz, stand-up comedy, songs, guests, game shows, and get up & dance disco- filled ‘Music Bingo’ – all presented by everyone’s favourite drag host. With a matinée and evening performance, there’s plenty of Teena to go around!

There’s more fantastic comedy lined up from LuvEntertainment, starting with the Muslims are Coming on Sunday 12 May – expect lots of laughs from this Halal-larious comedy show. Sunday 16 June sees a top comedy double bill, with Sukh Ojla’s brand new tour The Aunty Years at 7pm, followed by Tommy Sandhu’s exciting solo debut tour at 8.45pm.

White Tyger are set to rock Solihull on Friday 17 May. The Midlands based heavy metal band were the winners of the 2023 Hard Rock Hell Rising Stars Award.

On Thursday 30 May, Sarah McQuaid will perform in the Studio. The talented songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist will perform on acoustic and electric guitars, piano and (occasionally) drum to create a truly immersive experience.

Claytime, a play with clay, comes to the Studio on Saturday 1 June! This exciting interactive theatre show is perfect for children aged 3-6 years.

Audiences can celebrate the 80th anniversary of D-Day on Saturday 8 June with two performances from The Boogaloo Babes, Solihull’s favourite vintage vocal harmony group.
