The Victoria sets the stage for an evening of atmospheric indie and dream washed textures as Constant Smiles headline on Tuesday 10th March, joined by brnswck and Reuben Lovett for a beautifully curated night of immersive, emotionally rich music.
New York’s Constant Smiles have steadily evolved from a shifting collective of conceptual ideas into one of the most distinctive voices in ambient leaning indie pop. Their Felte Records debut Moonflowers marked a defining moment, described by Fred Thomas as “songs that are nearly transparent but still somehow heavier than a mountain.”
Their sound blends soft electronics, hushed acoustic elements, understated strings and delicate performances, creating an atmosphere that feels instinctive, intimate and quietly overwhelming. Live, the band taps into a sense of stillness threaded with movement that’s not only immersive, but subtle and deeply affecting.
Main support comes from brnswck, an alternative dream pop artist crafting hazy, melodic soundscapes that shimmer with texture. Expect lush production, soft edges and a set that drifts between introspection and brightness, perfectly complementing the headliner’s ambient glow.
Opening the night is West Midlands songwriter Reuben Lovett, whose “folk rock that refuses to be put in a box” blends classic storytelling with a modern, genre bending edge. His songs move between tenderness and grit, offering a grounded and heartfelt introduction to the evening.
A thoughtful Tuesday night lineup that moves from ambient pop to dream pop to inventive folk rock, and is ideal for anyone drawn to atmospheric, emotionally resonant live music.
