It’s just seven short days until Mostly Jazz Funk and Soul Festival returns to Birmingham’s Moseley Park, featuring drum’n’bass legends Fabio & Grooverider and The Outlook Orchestra, plus international British R&B/soul icons Soul II Soul and DJ sets from Goldie and Hot Chip (Friday); rising star Jordan Rakei, seminal ’70s funk act Cymande and Afro-futurist Sampa The Great (Saturday); and soulful Daptone Records artists Jalen Ngonda and Thee Sacred Souls, the lauded Don West, and Jazz FM Award-winner Emma-Jean Thackray (Sunday).
Away from the main stage artists, there’s also dance workshops, family activities and a wellness tent hosted by Sage Sanctuary (Saturday and Sunday only), with relaxing and re-energising massage sessions now open for pre-booked slots via Mostly Jazz’s website.
Renowned Brum brewery Attic are ready with their great range of beers and there’s a tempting line-up of award-winning street food vendors on-site too, while the weather is looking lovely!
All tickets are now extremely limited, with families saving up to £50 off Family Tickets thanks to the UK Government’s Great British Summer Savings scheme.
And don’t forget, Mostly Jazz Festival is now even easier to get to, after the recent opening of Moseley’s very own train station – with the Moseley stop just 7mins from New Street Station and just 7mins walk to the festival site.
