Restorative Rituals: Connecting Through Light

Highbury Orchard Community is very pleased to announce its successful funding application to The National Lottery Community Fund for the project, Restorative Rituals, connecting through light! This is a special six-week project to build supportive connections within our community, while celebrating the returning light as we and the planet move towards the Spring Equinox.

So we invite you to join our programme exploring the powerful meaning and healing qualities of rituals.

At this time of year, these are associated with the universal change in light as we head towards the spring equinox. Over the coming six weeks we will be offering opportunities to connect with the earth and the community, in a curated line up of activities that can be explored at home, in the garden, and at the orchard.

We are collaborating with local artists and creators to offer a space to explore skills and media that invite healing, growing and celebration.

What to expect: arts and crafts, photography, growing and planting, yoga and meditation, cooking and recipes, nature trails. These will be grounded in the natural rhythms of Mother Earth and harbouring the changes in energy that the sun’s new light brings.

Collaborations include: Sustainable Life, Chamberlain Highbury Trust, Arts Room Kings Heath, Manoj Yoga, Stirring Stories, Overhear App and more.

To join in, you can register at events@highburyorchard.org.ukfor updates. These will contain weekly round-ups of activities with ways to get involved.
