Iconic Birmingham grassroots music venue The Sunflower Lounge hosts a night of raw energy and heavy riffs on Saturday, 20th December, with four bands ready to shake the walls.
Leading the charge are Midlands duo Dredge, a sludge-punk outfit whose chaotic sound is as visceral as it is unpredictable. Their sets are loud, abrasive and unforgettable, music you can truly feel in your bones.
Joining them are Zilch, an alt-rock trio blending punk grit, Seattle-inspired sludge and pop sensibility into a sound that’s both heavy and hook-driven.
South Birmingham’s Sideborg bring their groove metal/grunge fusion to the stage, combining high-energy performance with unpredictable shifts for fans of Primus, Korn and Deftones.
Opening the night are Hipflask Virgins, a gnarly two-piece riff-rock band influenced by Nirvana, Queens of the Stone Age and Death From Above 1979. Expect pounding drums, snarling riffs and head-bobbing energy from start to finish.
