This summer, Coughton Court in Alcester will be the perfect spot for families looking to make the most of the school holidays with a packed programme of outdoor activities and creative workshops.
Running from Friday 17th July to Monday 31st August, families can enjoy a range of activities to suit all ages in the historic Tudor estate’s stableyard.
Free storytelling sessions will be running at 11.15am and 12.45pm on Thursday 6th, Thursday 13th and Wednesday 19th August, alongside weekly craft sessions starting on Friday 17th July with a new theme each week, including wind chime making and decorating plant pots (priced at £3.50 per child).
Active explorers can get stuck into a range of free games located by the play area, including ball games, selfie stations, balance beams and sports day activities. There’s even more to discover with a House & Gardens Ticket, from following the animal trail to challenging family and friends to giant Connect 4, Dominoes and Noughts & Crosses in the Orchard.
For young creatives aged 4-13, Art with Becca will be running on Friday 24th July, Wednesday 29th July and Thursday 20th August. Priced at £25 per child, each workshop will allow children to explore a variety of materials and techniques, honing skills and creating a masterpiece to be proud of.
The Coughton Court Duck Race on the River Arrow will make a return on Friday 14th and Friday 28th August at 2pm. Entry to the duck race is free, with ducks on sale in the Stableyard from £2 each in the lead up to the races.
Coughton Village Fete will also be held in the estate’s grounds on Saturday 1st August from 11am to 4pm. Visitors can enjoy the traditional fete complete with cake stall, raffle, tombola, games, tug of war and a dog show.
Studley-based Aunty Jen Productions will also be returning on Saturday 15th August with a production of Alice Through the Looking Glass. Tickets are available from £13.

Coughton Court is open all year round from Wednesday to Sunday, 9am-4.30pm. Tickets are £15.50 for adults (16+), £6.50 for children (under 5s are free), and £14 for concessions (60+) and students. Parking and entry to the Stableyard cafe, shop and play area is free of charge.
For visitors looking to enjoy everything Coughton Court has to offer all year round, an annual family membership is available for £125 including parking (four person membership – two adults and two children or 1 adult and three children). An adult annual pass is priced at £52 for one person including car parking, with all passes allowing unlimited visits.
