Kaleidoscope Distanced – Ruth & The Ark / Liamosino

It’s been over six months since our last event in March, back in a time when life had a bit more normality to it. We feel after this lengthy unscheduled hiatus, it’s time for us to make a reappearance, with a few changes to ensure everyone’s safety.
Instead of our usual Thursday evening slot, we’re giving Sunday afternoon a try, with the party carrying on into the night. It will still be free entry, but to guarantee entry please book a table of up to six people via the booking link (www.nightowlbirmingham.com/booking).
Please only book a table if you’re planning on coming to the event, as we’re working with a very limited capacity and want to accommodate as many people as we can. Please follow government guidelines to help us keep everyone safe.

We’ve been waiting a long time to bring the amazing Ruth Kokumo and her backing band The Ark to the Kaleidoscope stage. Ruth and The Ark channel the early days of soul with a heavy touch of funky rhythmic blues. Fused with Ruth’s powerful, raw vocals, this makes them the perfect headliners for our first Sunday afternoon event.

Finding recognition as frontman of Birmingham psych-rockers Brain Food, Liamosino has recently dipped his toes into the solo world to great success with the release of his debut single ‘Samhrai Imithe’. His experimental style brings to life Liam’s diverse range of influences, combining inconceivable upside-down back-to-front guitar playing with effect-laden vocals that create a dream-like soundscape.
