TAMWORTH RESTAURANT HAS A GLOW UP AND OPENS AS ‘ZAAZU’

A long standing Tamworth favourite has been renamed Zaazu, had a stylish new look and has expanded its offering with an enhanced modern menu.

After a glittering launch, Zaazu opened its doors last week to a room full of eager customers. Previously known as Simla Restaurant, the rebranded Indian restaurant marks a new chapter in the restaurant’s journey.

Mo Nanu owner of Zaazu, said: “After 20 years of business it was time to evolve and reboot after the pressures of the pandemic. The new name represents our cooking style and method because it’s very traditional. But we’ve also added the Western influence in terms of presentation and aesthetics. The name ‘Zaazu’ also has a bit more pizzazz. The feedback has been phenomenal, and we can’t wait for new customers to come and try it.”

The new menu created by Nikhil Mahale, is set to captivate the taste buds of Midlands residents with its innovative dishes and relaxed dining experience. With a perfect blend of traditional Indian flavours and contemporary influences, Zaazu aims to redefine modern Indian cooking in the region, offering a unique culinary journey that will delight even the most discerning palates.

Under the creative guidance of Chef Nikhil, Zaazu presents an array of signature dishes that promise to wow your taste buds. Chef has put together a new team of highly-trained and experienced chefs from India itself, lending true provenance to the dishes.

With a passion for cooking and a commitment to great hospitality, Zaazu is poised to become the go-to destination for upmarket Indian dining in the Midlands.

Some highlights from the menu include:
