On Saturday 22 June King’s Heath Walk of Fame will transport you back to the swinging 1960’s when the only place to be on a Saturday night was the Ritz Ballroom on King’s Heath’s York Road.
The Ballroom’s owners Ma and Pa Regan gave Birmingham debuts to The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Kinks as well as promoting local groups like The Move, The Moody Blues and the Spencer Davis Group
Just half a mile away from the ballroom’s burnt down ruins, King’s Heath Cricket & Social Club will host a wonderful re-creation of those 1960’s nights with the acclaimed band The 3 Sixties playng many of the hits first performed by those legendary bands of the 60’s
Expect to hear a great range of 1960’s hits performed by a fantastic bunch of musicians.
