Spanish blues folk duo Guadalupe Plata are heading out on their UK tour this Autumn with a stop off at Digbeth’s soul & retro haven, The Night Owl. Support on the night comes from local artists The Devil and Saint Joseph, You Dirty Blue & Arapaima. Tickets are available now via The Ticketsellers at £8, with Independent Birmingham and NHS discounts available.
Guadalupe Plata have made a recent resurgence, with their seventh studio album and a return to their original duo formation. Fusing Spanish folk music traditions with swampy delta blues, psychedelic rock freakouts and general weirdness, Guadalupe Plata’s live performances are a highly anticipated spectacle.
Joining in support of Guadalupe Plata are the fantastic The Devil and Saint Joseph. If you’re a regular at The Night Owl you may recognise them from the Boblogathon or seen them knocking about as they’re fast becoming a staple part of the venue. They’ll be bringing their gothic, filmic Americana sounds to the stage with spaghetti-Western guitars and electronic embellishments.
Also joining on the night are Birmingham’s folk rock duo You Dirty Blue and Staffordshire’s post-punk and drone four piece Arapaima alongside regular Night Owl DJs Mazzy Snape & Ross Carley.
