The planet’s strongest athletes are coming to Birmingham

The planet’s strongest athletes are coming to Birmingham as the World’s Strongest Man Arena Tour visits Utilita Arena Birmingham for the first time. Giants Live is excited to announce that their fourth tour date of the 2024 season will be coming to England’s second city. On Saturday the 7th of September 2024, the Strongman Open will be BRINGING THE MUSCLE TO THE MIDLANDS!

Aptly named, Giants Live brings the largest and most powerful men and women on earth to battle it out over mind-blowing feats of strength. Impossibly heavy weights will be lifted, carried, and thrown over five gruelling events as the world’s elite strongman competitors battle for the prestigious Strongman Open title and one of three qualification spots for The World’s Strongest Man Finals. The cream of the world’s strength elite has all regularly appeared at Giants Live, including the reigning World’s Strongest Man, Mitchel Hooper and two-time World’s Strongest Man, Tom Stoltman.

The Giants Live Strongman Open is a live sporting event, filmed for television as part of Channel 5’s World’s Strongest Man festive broadcast. It is one of seven contests hosted in the nation’s biggest and best indoor Arenas, featuring the world’s top strongman athletes.

Tickets go on pre-sale this Thursday 24th August with availability via Giants Live: https://giants-live.com/shows/ and The Ticket Factory: https://www.theticketfactory.com/tickets/events/giants-live-tickets/. Tickets go on general sale the following day – Friday 25th August.

The Strongman Open is one of Giants Live’s premier shows, alongside the Strongman Classic held at the Royal Albert Hall. Other contests in the World’s Strongest Man Arena Tour schedule include Europe’s Strongest Man from Leeds, Glasgow’s World Tour Finals, Britain’s Strongest Man from Sheffield, The World’s Strongest Nation, and Britain’s Strongest Woman. This will be Giants Live’s first visit to Birmingham and the 16,000 capacity Utilita Arena Birmingham.

Fans of strongman and strength need look no further if they want to see the planet’s strongest people performing truly staggering feats of strength. World Records have been shattered and some of history’s most iconic feats of strength have been performed at Giants Live. Who will ever forget Eddie Hall lifting the Half Tonne in 2016, or Iron Biby breaking the Axel Press World record in front of a packed Albert Hall audience? With the kinds of weights these guys are lifting there’s no shortage of thrills and spills. With more contest details to be released in the coming months, The Strongman Open promises to be a contest of the very highest calibre, and with several sell-outs at Giants shows already this year, tickets won’t be available for long!
